Pelvic health

For women experiencing pelvic problems, Jess is now offering specialised treatments that draw from her completion of practical courses through the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute of Australia.

Conditions

Jess is trained in specific external and internal techniques that allow her to examine for and potentially assist with a range of conditions, including:

  • antenatal and postpartum checks
  • dysmenorrhea (period pain)
  • urinary incontinence
  • pelvic organ prolapse
  • pudendal nerve pain
  • dyspareunia (painful sex)
  • pelvic floor pain
  • constipation.

Consultation

An initial consultation will take one hour and cost $150, with subsequent consultations taking 45 minutes and costing $110.

During a consultation, Jess will ask a number of questions to gather a thorough case history and get a better understanding of your overall health. Assessments of your complaints can involve examination of different parts of your body including the hip, spine and feet.

An internal assessment may also be indicated and will be discussed with you prior to assessment/treatment. If permission is given, you will be asked to sign a consent form and have the option of a chaperone for the treatment if you wish.
